Small Business Workshop Recap: Insights, Inspiration & Real-World Strategies On May 6, Franklin County Economic Development hosted a powerful Small Business Workshop at Workspace Provision, bringing together around 30 local entrepreneurs and business owners for an afternoon full of insight, encouragement, and practical advice. We’re excited to share a highlight video from the event—scroll down to watch and relive some of the key moments! The event featured an incredible panel of speakers who generously shared their time and expertise: Kim Kaid, of Kaid Marketing & Design, opened with a session on marketing and branding, reminding us how essential it is to tell a compelling, consistent story across every platform. Kathryn Brannock, founder of What Girls Know Best, energized the group with real-life strategies for leveraging social media to build community and brand trust. Gerald Lloyd, representing Benchmark Community Bank, outlined funding options available through local banks and how to prepare for small business financing conversations. Jason Woods, from the U.S. Small Business Administration, wrapped up the event with an overview of SBA loan programs and support tools available to small business owners nationwide. The conversations sparked new ideas, connections, and a shared sense of purpose among attendees. We’re proud to be part of a growing community of entrepreneurs who are not only building businesses—but building up each other. 🎬 Check out the video above for highlights from the day and feel free to share it with fellow small business owners!
